BB’s Teriyaki Grill – U-District
Working closely with the owner to realize his dream and vision for his restaurant, we completed the renovation of an old flower shop with very cool bones and finished with this modern industrial Teriyaki restaurant. We worked closely with the architect and his use of existing space and the owner’s taste for an upscale, fresh, open space. The old fir beams and trusses were the foundation for our design. The pop of orange brings alive the Asian influence. Polished concrete floors, reclaimed barn wood, custom fabricated metal sign, stainless wall treatments in the kitchen, corrugated metal wainscoting, industrial lighting and open patio for the great Pacific Northwest summers. The bathrooms are done in a classic subway look FRP. This restaurant is located on University Way in Seattle and will be frequented primarily by college students. The owner’s vision is to serve healthy, fresh teriyaki and a fully green kitchen with all compostable materials used.
